Creatively, he is a bookbinder, poet, short story writer, and novelist.
Professionally, he is a technical writer in the quantum computing industry who previously worked for engineering companies, higher education facilities, and aerospace metrology labs. Before that, he served as a gas turbine technician aboard US Navy destroyers. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Mountain Jay Books.
Educationally, he is an MFA student who previously graduated from Colorado State University with a BA and studied at the American Academy of Bookbinding in Telluride, CO.
Personally, Cody grew up in North Yorkshire, England, before moving back to the United States at age fifteen. He has lived primarily in Colorado since then, but also spent time in Mississippi, Illinois, Virginia, and California. Today, he is back in Colorado, enjoying each day in the beautiful Upper Arkansas River Valley.
